Crimson Forest onions

Last year, I planted Crimson Forest bunching onions, but it's really taken until now to get serious onions. I got one, last year. But now I have a nice collection of scallion sized onions. I used a couple last night, and wow, these have got to be the best onions I've had! Maybe it's just because they're home grown, but these are seriously tasty. I put a handful of chopped onion into the garlic mashed potatos, last night, then found myself nibbling on them by themselves.

When I pulled up a bunch, I stuffed one of them back into the ground, in hopes it will make more. It's worked with dividing the clumps, so I don't see why it wouldn't work for keeping a mother plant...
