A birthday memorial

Lia would have been 50 today.

She was one of the most immensely talented and creative people I have ever known. I can only wonder what she might have accomplished, in the light of all she did *before* she got her life together besides. But still, it's an immense sphere of influence she left behind. I was one of the people she influenced, and I know I improved my skills a lot because of her example and influence. If the stars of circumstance had aligned right, she could have run rings around Martha Stewart. Heck, I first learned about Martha Stewart through her.

I miss her.
