First bomb, live...

Listening to the radio, on my way to dinner at Marilyn's last night, I heard the first bomb detonate. They talked about golden balls in the clouds (antiaircraft tracers?), and were debating what it meant when you heard the long, low rumble of explosion, unmistakable. "And so it begins," I heard Kosh say in my head.

At Marilyn's, we turned on the telly and got lots of shots of empty sky and dawn, and people trying to analyze what it all meant. I flashed back to the Gulf War. Then we watched the Shrub put on his "I am your earnest friend" face and give his rehearsed platitudes. Disgusting. We'd had enough, and turned it off.

Random thought: if the war doesn't bring good ratings on TV, do we cancel it?
