Let's hear it for low-tech!

My new handmade "whisk broom" (made with heirloom broom corn) gets into the corners and gets dirt the vaccuum leaves behind. Nothing like the right tool for the job. This includes on carpet.

It's sort of like when I bought a "scum buster" that scrubs the bathroom fittings, and found it just doesn't do the same kind of job as old-fashioned elbow grease. Labor saving, yes, but sometimes you just need to put in the labor.
