The Food Processor is Dead, Jim

The last time I used it, it made a funny whirring sound, and sort of lurched through chopping. I tried to shred some cheese, last night, and it was nada. It made a funny whirring sound and did nothing. I grated the cheese the old-fashioned way, by hand. It took all of an extra two minutes, and I was grating a LOT of cheese. I need to remember life before electricity in my kitchen, as well as for living history cooking.

Fortunately, I have another food processor waiting in the wings, a Robocoupe that I picked up at a yard sale for $10, including tons of special attachments with a rack. The deceased only cost me $2, anyway. A friend bought it at a thrift store, then upgraded with a better one from a yard sale, so she sold me this one for $2.
