Of course, it's not the *real* Beltane, only May Day. The real one, like Halloween, was shifted when they adjusted the calendar, back a couple centuries ago. Still too early in the year to be the start of Celtic Summer. But that's okay, folks have even been messing with the date of Midsummer's Day (solistice), moving it from my birthday to correspond with that St. John guy's name day. Feh.

But I can hope that this day, the one month anniversary of the death of my dearest friend, will usher in a better season, and we shall usher in a season of better times, and increasing fruitfulness. This old world has had a rough go of it, lately, on all fronts.
