So, I removed the piece of branch it was on, and am hoping that they start making another new queen down inside the main hive. Easier not to have a piece of foreign material in there, anyway. Bad enough that they're going to do cross-comb with the pieces of comb that I returned to the hive, but I will deal with those combs when they're established better, later in the season.
