not pleased

Mymanar, call me cynical

Does anyone really think if they donate to relief for the victims of the Burmese cyclone that it will actually get to them? Heck, we couldn't get stuff in to our own victims of Hurricane Katrina, and that was just local bureaucratic snafu stuff.

So here we have a nasty totalitarian dictatorship, who probably says "Tens of thousands dead? Oh good, they won't be any of the folks opposing us any more..." and is known for huge human rights abuses. And could appropriate western aid just to show those captialists a thing or two about who's in charge. Do you REALLY believe any aid will get to anyone who needs it? Do you think the government ruling the place even cares?
