Ah yes, the correct degree

Andrew was very disappointed yesterday, having lost out on a job that was as if it was designed for him. It was about raising environmental awareness concerning urban trees and an apprenticeship in arboriculture. When he made inquiry, it was because his degree was not Environmental Studies, as was desired in the description. He met every other criteria for background, knowledge, interest, etc. C'mon, how many applicants were certified botanic garden tour guides, in addition?

However, I notice that one a lot. Credentials will usually win out over actual qualification. Quantifiable and trackable, you know. I recall jobs I didn't get not because I wasn't qualified, but because I had majored in Biological Science, not Computer Science.
