The great petfood poisoning...

Well, now that we have found rat poison in the contaminated pet food, it turns out it's not even American rat poison. Instead, it's rat poison that's so toxic it's banned here. Which means that the contaminated wheat it originated in came from probably a developing nation. Now we get to figure out which one.

Welcome to the global economy. When farmers in country x have a serious problem with rats, dogs and cats get sick in the US...sounds like a natural article on the impact of the global economy.

Not always achievable (thinking of the people who were trying to go a year without buying anything from China, and gave it up after a couple months), but two words: buy local.
