Gotta stop this "sick" thing...

I think one of the most frustrating things about being sick is that you have "free" time but no inclination to use it. Woke up this morning with a fever, coughing, and feeling generally run down. I actually debated whether or not to call in sick, mostly because I always push myself too hard, and need to be at death's doorstep before I think of myself as sick. But felt relieved when I actually did it.

I carted a couple boxes downstairs from the living room and decided this was a Bad Idea.

So I sorted out junk mail to throw out for a few minutes, then decided to go back to bed with a stack of comic books. I got through about five. I woke up from dreams of the Jinky Colorado universe (Banzai Girl, for those who don't know---and singularily appropriate because she relocates to her other-dimensional selves in her dreams) and found it was 3 pm. I thought I should get up. And must have fallen asleep again, because it was almost 4 when I woke up again. I feel human again, so the sleep must have done its job. Looks like it was a nice day; sorry I missed it.
