BP Doesn't Want You to Know

I was listening to KCBS on the radio today, with the rebroadcast of the TV news, at 3:30 Pacific Time. And a lot of things are now making sense. Their feature was on BP manipulating what you know and see.

The cat is out of the bag. BP is paying a substantial amount of megabucks to try to keep the oil spill out of the news, as much as possible, including making sure the popular search engines pop up their own propaganda high on the results. In short, they are buying censorship. Thank heavens that old school news and journalism is still with us.

And this brings home why we NEED traditional journalism. Without it, the news we get is determined by the highest bidder.
