Change of interest

I have recently been realizing that a former passion, the collecting and study of 19th and early 20th century clothing just doesn't excite me any more. I'm still interested in the pre-1850 period, but the later clothing doesn't excite me any more. Even eras I found fascinating are just ho-hum now.
I don't know if I've just got temporary brain fatigue, if I figure I've seen it all, know too much, or if it's just that tastes change. I have little urge to copy the clothes (once very interesting), and hardly any to study them, read about them, etc.
What excites me now is kimono. Taste change.
I wonder when I will exhaust kimono and feel an urge to move on to something new?
