I found myself contemplating how I rarely get communications from the India team. Then I started contemplating the social system, and bingo, I had my answer. I'm not in the right place in the strata, seen from where they stand. I'm not a manager. The only people you talk to are managers, because they are at a certain level in the hierarchy, better karma, whatever. Never mind that around here, being a middle manager means there's a crosshairs centered on your forehead, and that so many of us are doing semi-management work, without being paid for it (that new increased productivity...). Okay, now I get it.
