I was hearing a news story on the radio about a political race being decided by drawing cards (I think it was for sherriff. Both the candidates had an equal number of votes, so they decided to settle the race by drawing a card each, highest card getting the office. One guy drew a queen and one an eight, and it was settled. Apparently, it's not the first time that a political race has been settled by "luck of the draw" in that state. There is something marvelously Nevadan about this in sooo many ways.
